How we came into being

Sometime ago, survivor of abuse and sexual assault from five different attackers through their life searched the internet for support.

They were a huge number of sites that quotes statistics, articles, and a professional outlay of information.

What they didn't find was any site that was appealing to the eye, "down to earth", and with a friendly layout.

Abandoning that search, they turned their search to a place (forum) to find both ideas and support by talking with other survivors.

There were a few and one was appealing to the eye, and so they joined. After approval and entering the site, they found alot of talking going on about this or that problem that was almost always replied to with support like "Sorry you are going through that. I hope that you get better soon", but never ideas.

They began replying with solutions and ideas such as, "When I had that problem I (answer here). I am not sure this will work for you, and only you know if you should try it.".

These replies were quickly deleted by the forum's Staff, and they were "warned", yet without reason. After two more subsequent posts, their account was deleted and they were banned forever. They contacted the Administration of the forum and asked for an "apeal". They answered only that they stand by their Staff and the decision was final.

Quick Exit

The trauma induced by this action, only serves to fortify a survivor's feelings of abandonment, and worthlessness.

These brought into existence, A Sanctuary.net LLC - A place to finally heal from the effects of abuse / assault, or learn what someone may be going through TM.

After A Sanctuary was in place, Your Sanctuary, our forum, was created and it is clear that suggestions are welcomed and while the Forum Staff has the "right" to edit, or delete a member's post or reply, there is an apeal process outlined in the public area of the forum that can be used.

If after looking into the "problem", the Administration and the Staff will render a decision. If it is found that the editing or deletion will be "undone". This is possible because when the Staff deletes a post/reply, it is simply moved to the Staff Area that only an Administrator can access and "un-delete" the post/reply.

Lastly, member's are not banned because there is are 6 levels of correction (that can be appealed) with the banning of a member as a last resort.
