(still working on this page)
Project Sanctuary, a non-profit organization, that serves survivors of abuse in Mendocino County,
California, became aware of the Safe Places that we have here and encouraged us to do more.
Project Sanctuary is not affiliated with A Sanctuary at this time. Though we hope in the future
they will choose to do so.
It was our friends with their support and encouragement, that really helped to make A Sanctuary
happen, and to them, we say, "Thank You".
The original pages and graphic designs of this site were enhanced by a student in web design.
We have since acquired a webmaster that is learning more and continuously looking for ways to
have our site appealing to its visitors and members.
It is the survivors that makes building A Sanctuary worth it.
If we can;
- reduce a survivor's pain,
- help survivors to not feel so scared,
- help survivors to feel a little bit better,
- help just one Survivor not attempt suicide or self-harm,
it is worth all the hours that have gone into creating and enhancing it!
The Four Trees portion of the site was built
for the Non-Survivor. It is not the statistical page that you would expect find, but rather,
somewhere that the Non-Survivor (wanting to know if this is even real) can find out if it is,
and hopefully come away more knowledgeable and compassionate.
