survivors of abuse/assault!

You play a major role in the healing of any survivor you are working with.

We want to inform you of all the services that we offer Survivors, Supporting Members (those that care, or are in a relationship with a survivor), and you (the professionals). Yet, keep in mind that first and foremost, we will protect our member's privacy in Your Sanctuary (our forum) they post.

There is an area where survivors can post about the challenges that they have to face each day.
These are not from a text book, but rather from survivors themselves. And while not all survivors will face any one particular challenge, survivors simply do face more challenges than non-survivors.

That said, let's start with the services we offer to Survivors. They are:

A> Anonymity - This subject is complicated and complex to be addressed on this page.

B> Resources - We have two areas that we list resources - on A Sanctuary (our main site) and Your Sanctuary our forum). We try to ensure that resources are listed equally, yet it is possible that a resource is listed in one and not the other. All resources are checked before listing, and then annually.

C> Referrals - periodically, we will refer members or non-members to services that are beyond the scope of A Sanctuary and/or Your Sanctuary upon request. When doing so we remind the member, or non-member, that they will not have the same protection of confidentiality or privacy that they are acostomed to/taken for granted while visiting or using our services.

A Sanctuary is
