Okay here is a game.

Similes are comparisons that show how two things that are not alike in most ways are similar in one important way.

They could also be considered a method of speech, in which, two unlike things are explicitly compared.

Examples of similes would be, “she is like a rose.”, or, "The water is like the sun".
Both a woman and a rose AND water and the sun have little in common, and yet in the examples, they're being compared one to another.

Similes are simply a different way to describe something.
